Preparatory material (soft copies) is normally sent a month before the course.

Statutory warning
The courses are intensive. Participants should be prepared for lots of writing and focussed work.

Application procedure
Once an organisation decides to upgrade the skills of its staff, we work closely with the HROD department to develop a course that fits the specific needs of the organisation. A participant profile form is sent out to those interested. These need to be filled up and sent to training @ openspace.org.in at the earliest. Based on this the course is finetuned to meet the expectations of the participants, to the extent possible.

Learning method
The courses are intensive, and have between 5 to 15 (sometimes less) participants only. This is to ensure individual attention. The writeshops are based on participatory, experiential and reflexive learning methods. Supported by inputs from the training team, participants will learn through doing. A variety of learning tools will be used including inputs, case study analysis, group and individual work. The writeshops are in English. Those with a fair to good command over English will benefit best. Teaching the language is not within the scope of the programme. The participants will work diligently, under extreme stress conditions. They will be prepared to meet tight deadlines. The workshops are designed to enable participants to take back high quality documents, in proportion to their effort. Practising media professionals and experts will be resource persons. Most of the time is devoted to honing skills doing practice assignments that are evaluated immediately.
