Region: Asia and the Pacific
Submission deadline: October 15, 2007
What does it mean to be a citizen journalist at a time of rapid innovation and emerging social and cultural shifts? That is the question to be addressed at an upcoming regional conference open to Asian journalists.
The title of the conference is “Convergence, Citizen Journalism & Social Change: Building Capacity.” It is scheduled for March 25 to 27, 2008, at the University of Queensland in Brisbane (UQB). The submission deadline for paper abstracts is October 15.
The conference is jointly organized by the Asian Media Information and Communication Center (AMIC) and the journalism schools at UQB and the Queensland University of Technology.
Full papers are due by January 7, 2008. For more information, contact Dr. Shuang Liu at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit http://tinyurl.com/2ezxgk
