EduAction Thematic Workshop on Education and Livelihoods

Aide et Action-South Asia and EduAction Institute is pleased to announce
EduAction Thematic Workshop on Education and Livelihoods, from 2nd-10th
December 2006 at NISIET, Hyderabad, India for development professionals. The
workshop aims at discussing current trends, providing in depth understanding
and exposure to the field.

The highlights of the workshop are

1. Five themes to be conducted simultaneously and participants can select
one of the themes:
# Improving Quality Education through Community Participation
# Promotion of Sustainable Livelihoods
# Early Childhood Care and Education: Right from the Start
# Inclusive Education: Approaches and Strategies
# Participatory Research and Documentation

2. Dedicated facilitator and co-facilitator with experience for each theme

3. Special lectures and interactive sessions by "Who is who" in the theme

4. Field immersion and exposure to some of the best practices in the theme

5. Focus on understanding of the issues, approaches and trends in the theme

6. Thrust on acquisition of basic skills of planning, implementation and
monitoring for taking up programmatic intervention in the sector.

The workshop is targeted at middle and senior level professionals from NGOs,
INGOs, donor agencies, government departments and research & academic
institutions.
