Independent Sector accepts nominations for The Virginia
A. Hodgkinson Research Prize, established in 1995 to
recognize outstanding published research that furthers
understanding of philanthropy, voluntary action,
nonprofits, and civil society either in the United
States or abroad.

Recipients of the Virginia A. Hodgkinson Research Prize
are researchers and practitioners who work in or with
the voluntary sector and through their work have
achieved local, regional, national, or international
impact and recognition.

In 2005, award recipients received up to US$2,000.
Self-nominations are accepted.
