Water Scholarships

The Water, Engineering and Development Centre, (WEDC) and the
Loughborough University Development Trust are pleased to announce
the release of further scholarships. Funding is available to assist
students from developing countries wishing to study Distance
Learning programmes run by WEDC.

The scholarships, funding two-thirds of the fees, will enable up to
eight students to study up to four postgraduate modules each, over
two years. Completion of four modules leads to a Loughborough
Postgraduate Certificate award which may then be used to progress on
to a Master's programme.

Modules that make up the two Cetrtificate programmes - 'Water and
Environmental Health' and 'Water and Waste Engineering' - include
certain selections from the following:

Water and Environmental Health
Environmental Assessment
Community and Management
Integrated Water Resources Management
Water for Low-Income Communities
Solid Waste Management
Urban Infrastructure
Wastewater Treatment
Low-Cost Sanitation
