VI International Human Rights Colloquium
"Strengthening Human Rights in the South"

The VI International Human Rights Colloquium will take place in Sao Paulo,
Brazil from 11 to 17 November, 2006. The Colloquium is an annual capacity
building and peer-learning event designed for young activists from the
Global South (Africa, Asia and Latin America). The objective of the VI
International Human Rights Colloquium is to strengthen the impact of human
rights activists work and to offer the opportunity to build new
collaborative networks among activists, academics and the Organization of
the United Nations (ONU).

In addition to your potential interest in participating, we hope that you
will help in disseminating the announcement to those who may be
interested. We are sending you an electronic version of the flyer. Please
feel free to forward it to others.

Application to the Colloquium can be made directly online at its website www.conectas.org/coloquio or through an offline application. All applications will be reviewed by anindependent selection committee.

The application period is now open and the deadline for receipt of the application is September 3rd, 2006.
