The Polestar Foundation is inviting nominations for the
ninth edition of the PoleStar Award for Excellence in Journalism.
The categories for nomination are: best feature in IT journalism and best feature in business journalism.
Each winner will receive a trophy, a citation and Rs.1 lakh as prize money.
The Polestar Advisory Committee, which assists the Polestar Foundation in the selection process, consists of:

Only feature stories that have appeared in print and online media between 1
January 2006 and 31 December 2006 can qualify for the PoleStar Award. A
journalist is entitled to send two entries per nomination. Only an Indian
journalist who works for the Indian print media and Indian new media is
eligible for nominating himself / herself for the PoleStar Award.
The PoleStar Foundation will accept nominations from any publication across
the country. The only criterion is that it needs to be an Indian publication
house. Journalists across the country may nominate themselves directly or
get nominated by someone else from the publication for an award.
