ENVIRONMENTAL SMALL GRANTS AND FELLOWSHIPS

Environmental Equity and Justice Partnership (EEJP) is now inviting
applications from eligible grassroots organizations and individuals
working in India to apply for its Environmental Small Grants (ESG) and
Environmental Fellowships (EF) program. The last date for submitting
applications is 15 October 2006.

EEJP, an initiative of the Just Environment Charitable Trust was set
up in 2004 with the aim of helping groups and individuals foster
lasting improvement in the area of environmental justice by catalysing
grassroots initiatives, triggering new imagination and perspectives,
encouraging crossover linkages and providing greater opportunities to
connect to the environmental thinking.

EEJP has since been pursuing this mission by supporting research,
environmental advocacy, policy development, dissemination, education
and training and practice. The support is given under two programme
components: Environmental Small Grants targeted at grassroots
organisations and Environmental Fellowships targeted at young leaders.

EEJP is primarily looking for projects that are action-oriented;
builds public involvement and support; are strategic; focuses on root
causes; accomplishes specific goals and objectives; and takes place in
communities.
